What's New in 2025

Each year, your Statman team continues to make Statman more accurate and easier to use. There are 3 MAJOR additions this year. And a lot of smaller updates.

What's been added . . .
  • Insert and remove Play Entry Rows
    • Added new green and red macros buttons to insert and remove rows from the play entry worksheet in the game files.
    • This will make fixing errors much easier.
  • Print your Game pdfs the way you want to
    • In the game file --- Print-MaxPreps worksheet, there is a new option to select the game file pages you want to print, in the order you want them printed, all to a single pdf
    • This will save a lot of time with your end-of-game reports
  • A Multi-Year Statman Record Book!
    • This new file creates a record book from the stats you've collected across many seasons.
  • More instructions in this file
    • How to set up your game files once for the entire season
    • Direction on how to handle jersey issues for teams - more than one player, more than one jersey
    • How to choose and use an appropriate number for Team
    • A new Special Play Case in this file -- how to handle multiple turnovers in a single play
    • Put the next Tweet at the top of Play Entry (in cell J1)
What's been fixed . . .
  • HUDL Import now correctly handles all the new stats we added last year.
  • Rare Drive Chart worksheet drive situations
  • Corrected for a "Goal to go" situation didn't display properly in Play Entry
  • Fixed r* to credit the player if they score a TD
  • Corrected an error for a TD on the drive that ends the 2nd quarter that wasn't being handled properly
  • Fixed an error in the Season Record book for Opponent rushing records
  • Some other minor formatting, font, and similar cleanups.
As usual, Statman Football contains a schedule/results procedure, multiple report printing, efficient stats output, season stats capability, tons of offensive stats options, detailed special teams stats, an optional defensive stats section, complete play-by-play (with drive summaries), a scoring summary, drive charts, and much more!  You can choose between 3 versions . . . the season stats version, the single game (media) version, or the 80-yard season stats version. We also have an optional service plan.

These updates over the years will continue to allow users to achieve maximum output with minimum input. The premise of Statman has remained the same since its inception in 2001 ... entering basic play-by-play information into an Excel spreadsheet to achieve detailed statistics in report or html form.
