Mr. David Jones, President, Florida Disabled Outdoors Association (FDOA),
graduated from Godby High School
in 1972.
After a long career as a Winn Dixie store manager, David opened his own
business when suddenly he was involved in a horrible hunting accident
with near-fatal head injuries. After extensive rehabilitation, David
returned to Florida State University and earned a degree in Marketing
and founded the FDOA in 1990. Through inspiration and grit gained from
his own experience, David has devoted his life to enhancing the quality
of life of thousands by the creation of programs including
SportsAbility and Miracle Sports.
