Mr. Bruce and Mrs. Sandra (Phillips) Screws, graduated in 1973 and 1976, respectively. Bruce and Sandra (a former Homecoming court member) met after graduation, married and had two boys, Bruce Jr. and Trevor, who each graduated from Godby. Bruce and Sandra have a combined total contribution of over 5,000 volunteer hours to Godby spanning the 8 years that their two young men attended and participated in wrestling, swimming, band, chess team and the honor society. Bruce, through his business, Bill's Signs, has also donated over $4,500.00 worth of banners and signage to numerous activities for the school.
