Recurring Non-Player Characters

Rod

This is an ex-Player Character relegated to NPC status due to the departure of his player for other parts.
Rod is an ex-corporate soldier turned professional freelancer. He is a highly qualified mercenary with experience in a wide variety of tactical situations. He has seen action in some of the worst hell-holes on the planet, including the Chicago Containment Zone and the Yucatan. Rod is heavily cybered and highly skilled in all classes of firearms.

Wesson

Wesson, who is seen far more often than her primary partner, Smith, is known as a highly reliable merc with a great deal of experience with paranormal opponents and small group actions. She is a physical adept spirit killer who is on semi-retainer to unknown parties in Tir Tairngire. Wesson is a member of the Black Tower and works with Koren, Queen and Dancer on a regular basis.

Queen

Queen is an elven hermetic mage who works out of the Tarislar region of Seattle, where she runs a small school for elven children gifted with magical potential. She is strongly allied with unknown parties within Tir Tairngire. Within the shadows, she is known as one of Seattle's resident experts on insect spirits and how to deal with them. When on a run, she almost always works in a group composed of herself, Koren, Dancer, Smith and Wesson.

Koren

Koren is an elven hermetic mage who specializes in combat magics. He is new enough to Seattle's shadows that he is little known outside of his association with his mentor, Queen. This is rapidly changing however, as even she is beginning to look upon him as a colleague rather than an apprentice. He often works with Queen, Dancer, Smith and Wesson, especially when they are facing a significant magical threat.

He is a very lucky man, having been betrayed by a 'trusted' shadowrunner, Runner, and surviving, in spite of being mortally wounded and being turned over to a Mantid Shaman for investing with an insect spirit. This ultimately led to Runner's downfall when his own team (the other PCs) backed Koren's attempt to take out both Runner and Starr in the same trap. Although Starr escaped, Runner was captured and ultimately died while attempting to have a non-existent cortex bomb removed.

Lena

In progress...may take a while...we're trying to keep the bio under 20 pages...<grin!>

Here is a brief description of the current Lena and her personality. However, if you are interested, a synopsis of her history is available. lena started out as the ganger archetype, however she was a ganger with ambition and passion. She had an aversion to the idea of more cyberware, so she concentrated on getting the best equipment. After polishing her fighting skills to a fair degree, she took up decking on the side since none of her regular compatriots had any ability in that area. She also became the contact person, having spent considerable time cultivating as many resources as possible. These new skills became quite useful when she became pregnant with her first child and was unable to take any more physical jobs. Lena now has three children (1 adopted), a husband (Daniel Anderson), a hellhound named Pug, and a kitten named Katalla. She spends her time decking and serving as a fixer for a select clientele. (She rarely works with any but a few select Johnsons and she spends most of her time helping runners find the quality manpower and supplies they need to do the runs they contract for well.)

Lena's temperament is naturally fiery and impatient. She has learned the value of letting well laid plans come to fuition in their own time from an elven mentor. But in her personal life she riles against any constraints on her life. (Anderson has been nominated for sainthood by more than one person who can't imagine how he coped with her during her last pregnancy which kept her bedridden.) She has some responsibilities and has to lead by example, but she still misses being able to ride free: going drinking and partying while trashing a building, participating in a drive-by shooting in another gang's territory, starting a bar fight for the fun of it... those were the days. She loved the challenge of her old life of running, pitting the skill and strength of her body against those who would stop her. She is passionate about everything she does, including loving her family and taking care of her community, thus she has given up these simple pleasures for a greater good.

Starr

Starr is known on the streets by very few outside of the turf of Las Espadas. Thought to be some sort of mage or shaman by most outside of the turf, Starr was actually a female true form Mantid spirit who became free when her summoner, Petal, was nearly killed during the aftermath of a run.

When Starr became free, most of the neighborhood that Las Espadas called home became part of her personal domain. Feeling rightly threatened by the presence of Las Espadas and Lena &Anderson who lived there also, Starr set about driving them out with what ever means were at her disposal. Considering she had access to the large scale arsonal of high-tech and exotic weapons which Petal had been collecting, those means were considerable.

Shadow

Shadow is a human physical adept who specializes in high-tech burglary. She has acumulated a conciderable amount of wealth stealing data, high-tech equipment & software and more old-fashoned things such as gemstones, jewelry and fine art works. She is well enough connected that very few people, even the end benefactors of her activities are aware that she exists. She is currently in semi-retirement, prefering to live long enough to enjoy her good fortune. Shadow is one of the original members of the Black Tower.

Bonejack

Bonejack is the leader of a small mercenary team. Originally owing his existance to a merc from first Harlequin adventure whose name I misremembered, he became a recurring part of the campaign as a result of his quest to avenge a team mate's death at Runner's hands.

Tower

Tower does. He is a Troll Street Samurai from the barrens who's made it good. Even though he is cybered to the hilt and lives in a high class dive somewhere in northern Seattle, he still tends to be thought of as a big dumb street goon. Of course, the fact that he goes from quoting Shakespeare to taking a sniper round to head without realizing it (thanks to his Pain Editor) doesn't help things any.

Longshot

A professional mercenary, Longshot is also a caucasian, South African Elf. Although often accused of being racist, he could honestly care less what someone's racial type is as long as they don't cause him problems. Longshot recently came to Seattle and started working the shadow community there, pushing his rep as a solid merc and an expert shot, especially with long rifles.

Jerico

Mr. Brown

Director of Special Resources for the North West Division of DocWagon Inc. He has been cultivating a relationship with Rod...seeking services in exchange for medical care and help in obtaining elective surgery.

Sierra

Anderson

Cardigan

Captain Richard Cardigan, UCAS Army Special Forces, is Lena's "long lost brother." His mother was a gang member his dad dragged home pregnant. After Richard was born, the girl took off and later gave birth to Lena. Cardigan discovered Lena when he went looking for his mother after getting messed up on a mission into Bug City back in 2055. Since then, he has become a regular part of her semi-retired life...including having to help fight off several people who decided Lena's parties made good places to start fights.

Sonja

Sonja, named after Red Sonja of the Conan Books, is a highly skilled swordswoman physical adept. She works for an undisclosed security organization and can occasionaly be found taking part in underworld martial arts tournaments.

Santiago

Alexander Kynon

Dr. Alexander Kynon, Th.D., is a visiting professor with the College of Thaumaturgical Studies at the University of Seattle. He is a wealthy elven gentleman with a soft place in his heart for a young gang member trying to make something of herself and her home.

Razor

Razor is an ork street samurai and a member of Las Espadas. He was the first of many members of the gang who were given a chance to make it big by Lena. She noticed that he had some brains and was interested in learning so she payed for his cyber and made sure he got real combat training and something of an education. At the time Lena had the following to say about it: "Cool. I've never owned a soul before..."

Since then, he has managed to pay off Lena most of what he can pay off with money. He has developed a brutal, in your face, combat style which has carried him through some nasty situations and is showing more intellegence everyday. Razor is currently bouncing back and forth between accepting a more permanent relationship with the Seattle Yakuza or cutting off his dealings with them before he is forced into that permanent relationship.

As a final note, Razor has earned his name in more ways than one. He has decked himself out with spurs and other blades coming out of the most interesting of places...

Clint

Clint is a long time corporate security man who now heads up Warder's pet corporation, Sanctuary Securities.

Shelly

Michelle Calm Water is the niece of Chief William Shaltakah of the Salish Tribe. She was the pampered and spoiled orphan neice of a major polititian and businessman until his enemies became a threat to her life. At that point, she came into contact with Lena, Runner and Warder when Chief Shaltakah hired them to protect her. After dealing with her attitude and a number of other incidents, they managed to get her to Seattle where she has lived with Lena ever since.

Shelly proved to have a great talent for things technological and has become quite the talented decker in spite of being only about fourteen. She has started doing the odd job passed to her by Lena and drummed up through other people that she knows and is developing a rep as a solid decker.

Mara

First Lieutenant Mara Roark, UCAS Army Special Forces, is Cardigan's first choice combat mage for any ops force he takes out into the feild. She is a multi-talented hermetic mage who has served with Cardigan for a number of years. Mara is also a skilled martial artist and has a young daughter who is mostly being raised by Mara's mother.

Abarrach

A fan of late-twentieth century science-fiction/fantasy novels, Abarrach named himself after a fiery, lava-filled hell of a world found in one of his favorite series of novels. He is a highly skilled fire adept who concentrates in battle magic (no big surprise there...). He tends to enjoy the high life more than he should and as such will tend to take high-paying jobs without giving them as much thought as they merit. This has gotten him in deep trouble before, but he has always managed to pull his hoop out of the frying pan just in time.

Abarrach is currently wanted for questioning by Lone Star regarding the deaths of seven Lone Star SWAT troopers and patrol officers by fire based combat spells in an incident about two and a half years ago. So far, Abarrach has been reluctant Though the Star is not certain of it, Abarrach was the mage who attacked the officers. He had been hired to back Runner when he went to kill Renraku security executive

Dancer

Dancer is another member of the shadow team composed of Queen, Koren, Smith and Wesson. He is an elven street samurai from the streets of Portland. Wired with the best their unknown high-level Tir Tairngire backers can buy, Dancer is a vicious opponent who rarely looses a fight and has no fear of death or pain. He rarely works with others, prefering to remain a solo operative. The single repeated exception are Queen and company.
