Doctoral graduate of Florida State University interested in the societal impacts of extreme weather and climate.
WCTV: 'Fake Weather' prominent during 2017 hurricane season.
Eos: National Weather Service data from nearly 900 tornadoes and a principle of economics reveal the relationship between storm energy, population, and casualty count.
Much of my research focuses on the impact of extreme weather on society in a warming world. I have worked to create methods to estimate tornado energy, to spatially apportion tornado casualties, and to examine the relationship between tornado casualties, tornado energy, and population.
I am a recent graduate of the Department of Geography at Florida State University. My research interests are in the impact extreme weather has on society, the potential link between severe storms and climate, as well as statistical methods and computational techniques.
