Kite, Robert Edward (b. 1834 Liberty Co. GA or 1829; m. Maria Elizabeth Wainwright 1/8/74; d. 9/11/1926 Alachua Co., buried in Bradford Co.) enlisted 10/17/61 in Middleburg and was dismounted 5/13/62. He was captured 11/25/63 at Missionary Ridge and sent to Rock Island prison. He was transferred to New Orleans for exchange 5/3/65. After the war, he lived in Waldo and received a Florida pension*
