- General counsel oversees all but J and F which are done by Int'l office
- Office of the Provost.
- ISO oversees, GC participates.
- The contract is handled by the Legal Counsel. Under state law, only the General Counsel can authorize any outside attorney to represent the university. If a department wishes to use the outside counsel, the request is sent to the International Office which makes a recommendation and forwards the request to the Provost's office. If approved, it is forwarded to the General Counsel's office which sends the formal request to the outside attorney. Billing and the G-28 are handled by the General Counsel, but the actual petition is reviewed and signed by someone in the International Office.

- Student intl matters handed by Intl Services office. Employment intl matters are handled by general counsel office.
- The International Office files USPR petitions for tenure-track faculty. Other positions must be cleared for eligibility by the General Counsel, who must also clear the lawyer. The Intl Office houses the PERM account and oversees subaccounts.
