Description: 
  The unified setting for the opera consists of a center stage painted portal/wall with a center opening about 18' wide by 20' high through which an 18' deep, 6" high wagon moves.  In general each scene is set on this wagon US behind a painted scrim (pictured above) in the portal opening and with a scrim through, flying the scrim and moving the wagon DS moves into each scene's setting. 
   The elements that make up Act I Scene1 "the street in front of Bartolo's" includes a balcony that protrudes through an opening in the portal wall just SR of the main wagon, a free standing exterior door (into Bartolo's house USR on the wagon, a statue on pedestal CSL on the wagon, and a flown in low relief "street in Seville" facade USC.  
   Act I Scene 2 "A terrace at Bartolo's" is set by a large up center double door on a platform with potted orange trees on either side. Down stage left and right platforms slide in from the wings to provide entrances down stage of the portal.  A grape arbor is flown in overhead and a writing desk and chair dl completes the scene 
   Act 2 "the music room" is set by a spiral staircase up center, with a large music tapestry flown in up stage left.  The door out of the room to the outdoors is usr.  Doors hidden in the portal sl off the central wagon lead to other rooms in the house.  The harpsichord ul and the desk and chair dr complete the scene. 

   Note: This set requires that about 10 bolts be set into the stage floor to secure the rigging to move the central platform
