Mission

Our mission is to promote awareness of chess and create opportunities for learning, practicing, and playing this timeless game. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, our club offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for chess enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Join us as we embark on an exciting journey of learning, friendly competition, and the joy of chess!

History

Our club is registered with United States Chess Federation (USCF ID A6043030) and has a rich and inspiring history that dates back to its establishment in 2015. It all began with a group of passionate parents whose children were eager to explore the world of chess but struggled to find a suitable platform to nurture their skills. The club provided a much-needed opportunity for young chess enthusiasts to grow and thrive. Throughout the years, our dedicated team has organized chess classes and tournaments, allowing dozens of amateurs to learn and excel in the game.

Highlights

Our own Benjamin Chen, a then 15-year-old freshman and president of the chess club at Chiles High School, earned the title of United States Chess Federation (USCF) Candidate Master with a rating of 2109. His journey with chess was highlighted in Tallahassee Democrat.
