Wanderer’s Journal
I decided to start this journal to tell others of my world, it’s inhabitants, and it’s mysteries. The following is a little about the history of major continent I live on . "Barsaive"!
[Librarian's Note: At this point the current author of this work spent several pages describing his understanding of the history and culture of Barsaive. In the interest of conserving space, this material has been edited out of this version of the document. Traveling the Great Serpent
I am currently traveling with a group traveling to Urupa. I shall tell you about each as they occur in this Journal.
Our party had to buy passage on a T’skrang boat to Urupa. The first four days of travel went uneventful with the exception of two members of my group. The first I shall tell you of is John, my axe swinging troll friend who affectionately calls his axe Skull Cleaver with a glimmer in his eyes and a fangy grin. Needless to say he was very distraught about having to sleep on deck due to inadequate sleeping quarters.
The second is a windling, the only female troubadour of our party who flew around trying to entertain the whole crew, also to John’s dismay!
On the fifth day we arrived at port and bought supplies. On the sixth day a ship coming around the bend fired upon ours missing with the first volley. Being the archer I should have noticed that something was wrong and indeed I did but had no chance to warn the crew of our ship. Luckily we had prior warning to this attack, thanks to our troubadour spy who had overheard a T’skrang and a troll discussing plans for the attack during our last stop. After the smoke cleared our ship fired back. Before I knew it we were being boarded by the attacking vessel! Shortly into the battle I noticed Elias onboard the enemy ship aiming their cannons on deck. Three quick fires and Elias was running back to our ship. As the battle continued I noticed that the tide was turning but not in our favor, also that the enemy ship was still afloat! This was very distressing and as I began to say a silent prayer my fellow comrades came to my rescue! I was distressed to see that a few of them were not among the others.
Luckily at that time a river vessel floated around the corner and began firing volleys into the pirate ship! I was very happy to find that the rest of my party were not badly injured, just unable to come to my aid. On the seventh day we docked for repairs, and stayed for two more days.

We left on the ninth day and discovered that we still had a few problems on board, we sprung a leak, an unfortunate incident! But luckily we had no problem slowing the leak until we made port a few days later.

A TOWN NOT THERE!
Well... not exactly, but as we arrived in port we failed to see any structures. Upon further observation we found that the building were built not on the ground but up in the trees! A confusing T’skrang and windling construction.
