R. Mark Isaac

John and Hallie Quinn Eminent Scholar in Economics and Director of the Experimental Social Science Research Group


Dr. Isaac's is a specialist in experimental economics. Recent research is concerned with endogenous formation of groups, and bidding in ascending auctions. He has published widely and has received grants from numerous organizations. He is currently a member of the board of editors of the American Economic Review, and serves as an Associate Editor for sever experimental economics field journals.

Dr. Isaac is very active in our doctoral program.  As Director of the Experimental Economics Lab, he provides guidance and financial support to some of our most promising doctoral students.  He has supervised several dissertations, including recent graduate Artie Zillante.
