FROM THE MAN WHO GAVE YOU SPSS (Norman Nie) explore THIS market research site (formerly Knowledge Networks.com) for some of the most ingenious research using Internet respondents.
Unfortunately Norman Nie died in Spring 2015; he was a total innovator for online surveys, online panels and other research (not to mention SPSS, of course).

The Director, Jeff Cole, has been investigating the topic on a national basis since AT LEAST 2000.
