Me with my blog

Here I am, happy as a clam after my blog redesign.

I am a proud defend of the blog form. It helps people concentrate their ideas and writing and take stock of what's all around them. In such a hectic world, it's nice to take a few minutes out of the day to record your thoughts and experiences. It's sort of a journal, a publication, a forum, all wrapped into one. All by you. Or a group effort. Either way.

If you don't yet have a blog, I'd definitely encourage you to at least set one up, even if you don't use it. Check out Blogger for the Google blog experience (it's great), or Wordpress for a sleek looking blog format. There are several other services out there, but I just haven't used them.

My Blogs

[Post]Modern College Life

This is a blog I started in February 2004, one semester after I started college. I initially tried to be verbally incisive and cognitively clear, but it soon descended into publishing whatever thoughts I had on a variety of subject matter. I started posting anything I came across on the Internet, as well as loads of embarassingly personal feelings and personal vendettas I had against people, places, or things. It is all still active and available, and I hosted a lot of pictures and things on my student webspace so the posts should be fairly intact. If I have time later and remember to, I might want to compile a "best of" for this blog, featuring my favorite entries from each year.

Heavy Metal Detektor

I started this out of a concetrated effort to catalog every concert I went to (even though this was started many years after I began attending a lot of concerts). I soon lost steam, but will try to continue with music-related posts when possible... when they don't overlap with my musicOMH.com submissions.

Tallahassee.com

I only started this blog because I needed to register to comment on other Tallahassee.com blogs, like The BadScooter Groove. I don't forsee using this for much at all. Except I might import some of my other blog posts to this blog when the posts relate to Tallahassee in some way.

Friends' Blogs

Sharkblog Brandon's blog, which references everything from TV shows, bands/concerts, doorknobs, college sports, to hating things.
fairlyfamous Tina's blog, which, since the onslaught of MySpace, Facebook, and other sites, may now be de-funked.
Super Galapagos Matt's newly born music blog. Killer turtle, dude.
The BadScooter Groove A different Matt's blog, which mostly concerns music and sports. Why don't I have a Ted Leo quote on my blogs?
Are You Gene Hackman? Samir's blog, which covers a lot of ground in pop culture - movies, music, etc.
everything is so absurd. Robby's blog, which highlights his job adventures and various miscellaneous subjects.

Other Blogs
