Geography 4930 Spring 2009

Project 4
About Me

Welcome to Gerald Page's GEO 4930 web site for the Spring 2009 semester. This web site was created for the Multimedia Geographic Visualization course under the instruction of Sunhui Sim at Florida State University. A class theme of 'Interaction of Human and Nature' was applied to the class. The course examined cartographic issues, particularly relating to map animation, the use of the Internet, and on-demand cartographic systems. Hands on experience with multimedia packages such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Flash were used in this course and an emphasis was placed on effective design.

I would personally like to thank Sunhui for her patience to work with a class full of students, in which many had no prior experience with these software packages. I would also like to thank her for her ability to meet outside of class time to help resolve web site issues (and believe me, there was a few) and for simply offering this course. My knowledge and skills have dramatically increased this past semester. Thanks again, Sunhui!

Please, take a look around and feel free to look at the various projects that were worked on throughout the semester. If you should happen to have any comments, suggestions, or questions; please don't hesitate to email me. A link to my email address should be available at the bottom of every page.
