I am currently a PhD candidate with the FSU Department of Economics working on my PhD dissertation entitled "Essays in Fiscal Policy: Computational Accuracy and Optimal Investments in Public, Private, and Human Capital". I have worked at the Central Bank of Jordan for 12 years from 1994 to 2005. My job duties were varied, but it included mostly the international economic issues, papers and reports related to Jordan. I have been employed at the FSU Center for Economic Forecasting and Analysis (CEFA) since August 2006. My primary area of expertise in CEFA is data collection and statistical, econometric analyses, writing reports, literature review and presentations. I have conducted beta testing and provided feedback on a new software program “WITS” on economic workforce development in the Big Bend Region in Florida funded by Florida’s Great Northwest (an economic development group including 16 counties in Florida). I have built a good experience in working with various econometric and statistical packages such as STATA, Latex, WinEdt, MATLAB, SPSS, Mathematica and Eviews. I have good skills in using other software packages as well, including MS Office, Scientific Workplace, Advanced SPSS, and REMI and IMPLAN (economic impact analysis software). I am also the CEFA webpage webmaster. Parallel to that, I have worked as a teaching assistant at the FSU department of Economics in different semesters. During that work, I have been awarded the Certificate of Instruction Excellence. My duties involved developing an online course and mentorship using Blackboard..
